Earlier this week the Palomino Horse Breeders Association announced a new Novice Amateur program with hopes of growing Amateur participation at local shows. The Novice Amateur Per Class Credential Letter is a supplementary program to enhance PHBA Rule #5002, in which Amateurs can pay $25, per class, to show as a Novice in classes they do not have 25 points in.
I was more than happy to cover this announcement for the Equine Chronicle because the PHBA will always have a special place in my heart. I showed on the PHBA circuit for many years while in college and just out of college, including a PHBA World Championship in Hunter Under Saddle.
